Kamari Santorini

The island resort of Kamari is is situtated on the present day island of Santorini. The island was formed by a huge eruption over 3650 years ago leaving the legacy of a massive volcanic crater known as a caldera. The eruption has created spectacular volcanic precipices with terrifying sheer drops into the caldera. The peak of the still active remains of the volcano is manifested as a tiny island in the bay.
